A short drive from The Keeping Place, along a country lane, lies Salcombe. Renowned for its superb coastline and estuary, Salcombe has something for everyone, of all ages. It has lovely beaches, good restaurants, excellent sailing and water sports facilities, as well as golf, riding, squash, tennis and fishing all being available in the immediate area.
Also nearby is the market town of Kingsbridge, which is convenient for supermarket shopping, and the village of Malborough, which provides a well-stocked mini-market, a garage, and two pubs.
